In the name of god amen I Edmund Wood of Harby in the county of Leicester inholder being sick in body but whole in minde and of perfect memorye praised be god for the same doe make & ordaine this my last will & testament in maner & forme followinge
First I give & bequeath my soule to almighty god my saviour & redemer & my body to be buried in Harbey church aforesaid
Itm I give & bequeath to my eldest sonn John Wood xls and all my apparell
Itm I give & bequeath to my sonn James Wood xls & the featherbed whereon I lie with a bolster a coveringe a blanket & a paire of shetes
Itm I give & bequeath to my sonn Henry Wood ls
Itm I give & bequeath to my daughter Margaret White xls & one little featherbed
Itm I give & bequeath to my daughter Elizab Blankley xls & one mattres a coveringe a blanket & a paire of shetes
Itm I give and bequeath to my daughter Sicelie Billingbrough xls & the best mattres
Itm I give & bequeath to all my childrens children xiid apece
Itm I give to all my god children iiiid apece
Itm I give to the poore of Harby iiis iiiid
Itm I give and bequeath to John Braddell the yonger one swine shoate
All the rest of my goods moveable and unmoveable, my debts legaces & funerall expences discharged I give & bequeath to Agnes Wood my wife whom I make sole exec of this my last will & testament
Lastly I doe make John Braddell thelder & James Hubarde supervisors of this my last will & testament giveinge unto each of them xiid apece willinge that all thaforesayde severall legaces & evrie of them be discharged & paide within one yeare after the day of my death
In witnes whereof I have set my hand & seale the 9 day of October in the fourth yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Kinge James by the grace of god of England France & Ireland kinge defender of the faith &c and of Scotland the xl ano dni 1606
