Forasmuch as it is appointted for all once to dye, the fourteenth day of January in the yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred ninety and foure: I Margerett Worsdale of Neather Broughton in the County of Leicester wid being somewhat weake of body but of perfect mind and memory, praysed be Almighty God for the same doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in maner and forme as followeth that is to say
First I Commit my soule to God who gave it me, And my body to the earth, And for my worldly estate Goods, Chattels, Lands & tenements whatsoever I dispose thereof as followeth
First I give and bequeath unto the poore of Neather Broughton the sum of twenty shillings
Item I give unto my daughter in law Parnell Mann the sum of three pounds
Item my will is that my house and land att Whikham with all the appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging be equally divided amongst my son in law John Wartnaby, my daughter Anne, and my daughter Mary which said land with thappurtenances I give unto them their and each and every of their heires
And all the rest of my goods, Chattels, and Cattle, my debts Legacies and funerall expences being paid, I give and bequeath unto Anne and Mary my daughters, whom I make and joyne Executrixes of this my Last Will and testament
In wittness whereof I the said Margerett Worsdale have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written
