In the name of god Amen; I Thomas Worsdale of Nether Broughton in the Countie of Leicester sick in body, but of good and perfect memory, god bee praised; doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme as followeth: this 15th of Aprill in the yeare of our lord god 1634, and in the yeare of our gracious king that now is the which by gods appointment king of great Britain France and Ireland Defender of the faith
First I bequeath my soule into the hands of almighty god who gave it mee, and my body to bee buried with decent buriall in the church yard of Nether Broughton aforesaid, in hope of a glorious resurrection: And my goods I thus bestow
I give unto my loving wife Elizabeth Worsdale, during the terme of her life, all my goods wheresoever they bee, in the same manner as they are now possessed by mee
And after the death of my wife, I would have those goods which shee leaves distributed amongst my Children: after this manner
I give unto my daughter Dorothy ten pounds, if the goods will reach to it, to bee made up in mony and house hold stuffe
Item I give to my daughter Ann fortie shillings to be made up in mony and houshold stuffe
Ite: I give to my daughter Joane twelve pence and to each of her children twelve pence
Ite: I give to my sonne John twelve pence
Item I all the rest my goods my debts payed and my funeral charges defrayed I give and bequeath to my sonne Robert whome I make my executor
And I intreate my sonne William to bee supervisor to see this my last will and testament, bee performed in manner as is above written
