Edward Wright of Long Clawson 1764 Will

In the Name of God Amen I Edward Wright the Elder of Clawson, alias Long Claxton in the County of Leicester Yeoman being mindful of my mortality do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner following
Imprimis I commend my Soul unto Allmighty God who gave it and my body to the dust to be buried in Christian Burial at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named
And concerning my Worldly Estate I dispose of the same in the following Manner
First I give to my Daughter Mary Smith the Sum of Ten Pounds
Item I give to my Daughter Dorothy Pywell the sum of Ten Pounds each of them to be paid by my Executors hereafter Named a Twelvemonth & a day after my Decease
Item I give to my Grandaughter Sarah Taylor the Sum of Ten Pounds to be paid her by my Executors hereafter named when she shall attain to the age of Eighteen Years
Item all the residue of my Goods, Cattle, Chattels, & personal Estate of what kind soever, after my Just Debts & Funeral Expences are paid and Discharged I give to my beloved Wife Sarah Wright and to my Son Edward Wright Junior whom I hereby nominate and appoint Joint Executor & Executrix of this my Will, revoking all former Wills at anytime by me made confirming this only as my Last Will and testament
In Wittness whereof I the said testator Edward Wright the Elder have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eleventh day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred & Sixty four
