In the name of God Amen I Thomas Wright of Eaton in the County of Leicester yeoman beinge weake of body but whole of Minde and of good & perfect remembrance praise and thankes be given to God, I doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in Manner and forme here followinge (that is to say)
First I bequeath my soule into the hands of almighty God my maker faithfully trusting to be saved by the Merrits Death & passion of Jesus Christ my most mercyfull Redeemer and by none other meanes & my body to the earth from whence it came & to be Buryed in the Church or Churchyard of Eaton aforesd hopeinge from thence to have a Joyfull Resurrection with the Just at the last Day
Inprimis I give unto John Haywardine of North Stoake in the County of Lincolne Twelve pence
Ite I give unto George Stoakes who Marryed my daughter Margery Six pence
Item I Give unto Symon Wright my younger Son my Two houses or Tenements scituate lyinge & beinge in Eaton aforesaid betweene the Messuage of John Caunt on the one side & William Slater on the other side for a lease of Three score yeares & soe on, to have and to hold to him & his heires with all theire profits & commodityes to them appertaininge (the Land & Commons & all other the profit within the fieldes & Territoryes of Eaton excepted) to have & to hold the said Two Tenements with the home profits soe longe as untill my son Thomas Wright doe pay unto him the full summe of Twenty pounds & then to surrender up quietly and peaceably the said Two Tenements unto him or his
Item I give unto John Ellsome of Great Ponton in the County of Lincoln sixe pounds
Item I give unto John Smith of Ab Kettleby allsoe six Pounds
Item I give unto Hester my Daughter Threety Ewes of the Middle sort, and the best heifer, to be delivered to her use att Michaelmas next after my decease And All soe Twenty pounds in Money to be payd to her within five yeares after my decease & the fringed Coverlet and the new yellow Blanket & Two pewter dishes & the last bought Brasse pot & kettle & guile Tubs
Item I give unto Margery my daughter in case shee remaine with Thomas quietly unmolested of her husband her dyet & clothinge, shee doeing her best endevour for his benefit or otherwise if my son Thomas be marryed & she cannot agree with him if shee have necessity I will that shee have a Room in the house where Wm Burgoine now liveth for her life & pay six pence Rent yearely for it and allsoe I give her Three strikes of Barley one of Rye & sixe pounds of wooll yearely to her use, not else payable
Item I give unto Thomas my son furniture for a bed & the servants bed, the other woollens & linnens in generall
I give unto Thomas Hester Elizabeth Simon & Margery equally betwixt them to be divided All the rest of my goods
And all my Chattles reall & personall with whatsoever of Right or conscience to me doth belonge or appertaine unbequeathed and not given I doe give & bequeath unto Thomas Wright my Son whom I doe make Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament
